Kenyans With Safaricom Lines Receive Good News as Company Makes This Major Announcement
Safaricom has provided M-PESA customers with a simple way to request a review of their Fuliza limits, offering a potential option for users who feel their current borrowing capacity is insufficient.
In a recent social media update, the telecommunications company advised customers seeking a review to use the M-PESA USSD menu. Customers can dial *334#, select the Fuliza option and then choose “Refresh My Limit” to initiate the review process.
The announcement has attracted attention among M-PESA users who rely on Fuliza to complete transactions when they do not have enough money in their wallets. The service has become an important source of short-term financial support for many customers, particularly when dealing with emergencies, transport costs, household expenses and other day-to-day needs.
However, Safaricom has clarified that requesting a review does not automatically result in an increased limit. The assessment is conducted through an automated process, with the amount available to each customer determined by factors including their usage patterns and repayment behaviour.
Fuliza is an overdraft facility that allows eligible M-PESA customers to complete transactions despite having insufficient funds in their accounts. Safaricom’s terms state that Fuliza limits may be reviewed periodically and can be adjusted depending on a customer’s credit assessment.
The company also considers information linked to customers’ use of Safaricom services and their repayment history when determining the amount they can access. Customers are therefore encouraged to use the facility responsibly and clear outstanding Fuliza balances on time.
For customers who want their limits reviewed, the process remains straightforward: dial *334#, select Fuliza and choose “Refresh My Limit.” Once the assessment is completed, Safaricom will communicate any changes to the customer’s available limit.
The clarification is expected to interest many M-PESA users seeking greater access to short-term digital credit as demand for convenient financial services continues to grow across Kenya.
