Iran Bombs U.S. Base In Kuwait With F-5 Aircraft; American Soldiers Flee

According to a report by Times of India (TOI) on Thursday October 8, 2026, Newly released footage and accounts from US servicemen obtained by CBS News reveal the scale of the Iranian assault and the frantic evacuation that followed.

American forces stationed at Camp Burring faced ballistic missiles, drones, and Iranian F5 fighter jets.

According to witnesses, this was no ordinary attack. In footage obtained by CBS News and recorded by someone stationed at Camp Buring, explosions can be seen ripping through the base, followed by the devastating aftermath.

Buildings and military equipment were damaged as Iranian strikes battered the American installation.

The attacks began during the opening days of the war, which started on February 28th when the United States and Israel launched a sudden joint attack on Iran, killing Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Kame along with other senior Iranian military and political leaders.

CBS News reported that soldiers defending the base were running critically low on 50 caliber ammunition as some troops were repositioned into the Udari Desert in Uwait. Two soldiers were later injured by lightning there in late April.

According to US officials familiar with the matter, the US military had anticipated the danger.

Before the war began, sources told CBS News that most of the roughly 7,000 troops at Camp Burring had already been moved elsewhere as part of the Pentagon’s get off the X plan, military shorthand for moving forces away from positions considered vulnerable to attack.
