Govt Lists Areas To Expect Heavy Downpour Tomorrow, Check Of Your Region is Affected

The Kenya Meteorological Department has officially issued a critical 24-hour weather forecast warning of imminent downpours across multiple key regions.

Authorities have urged residents in targeted locations to remain vigilant as significant rainfall patterns take hold in the next day.

The latest environmental advisory has identified primary zones that have fallen directly within the precipitation trajectory.

The designated regions include the Lake Victoria Basin, the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Central Rift Valley, the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, and the Coastal strip.

Specific counties across Central, Western, Nyanza, and the Rift Valley have faced elevated probabilities of scattered afternoon showers and isolated heavy thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, coastal lowlands have braced for intense morning and evening showers along the shoreline.

Meteorologists have attributed this widespread atmospheric shift to active weather systems moving swiftly across the East African coastline and inland highlands.

The sudden influx of atmospheric moisture has signaled a decisive transition into the anticipated short-rains season, ending localized dry spells.

Alongside heavy precipitation, weather experts have cautioned against powerful wind gusts, reduced visibility, and sudden flash floods in low-lying and poorly drained urban areas.

In light of these updated predictions, disaster management agencies have advised motorists to exercise extreme caution on slick highways and avoid crossing flooded roads.

Farmers across affected agricultural zones have welcomed the early rain, utilizing the shift to fast-track land preparation and crop planting.

Local administration officers have continued monitoring high-risk areas prone to mudslides and storm runoffs.

Residents have been encouraged to stay informed through official meteorological channels as conditions evolve across the country.
