Every Member Of House Of Assembly Who Agrees To Withdraw From APC Is Being Given N50m —Buba Galadima

Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) chieftain Buba Galadima has alleged that some opposition candidates are being offered millions of naira and other incentives to withdraw from the 2027 general elections and allow candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest without opposition.

Galadima made the allegation during an interview on Arise Television on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. His claims were subsequently reported by multiple Nigerian news outlets.

According to him, candidates for state Houses of Assembly who agree to withdraw in favour of APC candidates are allegedly being offered N50 million.

“Every member of the House of Assembly who agrees to forfeit his ticket and withdraw for APC candidate is being given N50 million,” he said.

Galadima also alleged that House of Representatives candidates were being offered N200 million and a vehicle to abandon their candidacies.

He claimed a woman from Zamfara State was coordinating the alleged distribution of money at a hotel in Abuja and said she had recently met with APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda, where candidates who had allegedly withdrawn were presented.

Galadima further alleged that security personnel, including DSS operatives, were present at the hotel.

He claimed some candidates had already collected the alleged payments and that the process was continuing across different states. He also alleged that higher sums were being offered to senatorial and governorship candidates.

However, Galadima acknowledged during the interview that he did not have evidence to independently establish the allegations. The claims have not been independently verified, and reports reviewed did not contain a specific response from Yilwatda or the APC addressing them.
