Eve Markoski-Wood shares love for mother Snezana amid stepfather Sam Wood’s domestic violence charges

Eve Markoski-Wood has shared her love for her mother Snezana, after her stepfather Sam Wood was arrested and charged over an alleged domestic violence incident.

Although the 21-year-old influencer has made no public statement about the matter, on Wednesday she reshared a telling clip on social media.

The footage was a montage of TV and film clips of characters saying how much they loved and appreciated their mothers, with scenes from Gilmore Girls and Freaky Friday included.

It was captioned with: ‘I love my mum. That’s probably the most obvious statement ever!’

In addition to resharing the clip on her page, Eve ‘liked’ the footage.

This telling post appears to subtly indicate that Eve is supporting her mother during this challenging time.

Police and paramedics were called to the $3,000-per-night La Mer luxury holiday villa in Noosa on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday night.

A woman was taken away by ambulance, and Wood was questioned by police at about 9pm before being taken to the Maroochydore Watchhouse.

It is understood Wood was staying at the beachfront resort on Hastings Street with his wife Snezana, their three young daughters and his 21-year-old stepdaughter Eve.

On Sunday, Eve, who until recently would often post about her close relationship with her stepfather on social media, reposted a video to her TikTok account.

The innocuous clip features a group of people gathered inside a home, overlaid with the words: ‘Do you ever leave a social situation and you’re just like hmm that was not my best work.’

While there is nothing to suggest the original video was connected to Wood, the timing of Eve’s repost has raised eyebrows given that she has otherwise remained conspicuously silent on social media since her stepfather was charged.

Eve is normally a prolific social media user and had been regularly sharing snippets of her life in the days leading up to the alleged incident.

She had recently returned from an extended trip through Europe and had told her followers she was spending a week in Noosa with her mother, Snezana, and the rest of the family.

In the days before Wood’s arrest, Eve had been posting fashion and lifestyle content, including videos filmed by her mother as she modelled outfits for her followers.

The full circumstances surrounding the night that led to Wood’s arrest have not been revealed, but are expected to be made public at his bail application on Thursday.

Wood is currently behind bars at the Maroochydore Watchhouse on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, a short-term holding facility for people awaiting processing or their first court appearance.

When the matter was before Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday, his lawyer, Mathew Cuskelly, confirmed Wood would apply for bail.

Wood did not appear in person due to ‘mental health concerns’, the Mail understands.

‘He’s simply worried about his family. A bail application will be heard on Thursday,’ he said, adding: ‘The charges will be defended.’

Wood launched the successful home fitness business 28 By Sam Wood and sold it in 2022 for $72 million, but remained the face of the online platform.

But on Tuesday, the entrepreneur was sacked from the wellness company, with his contract officially terminated by its owner, DBG Health.

In addition to the fitness empire parting ways with Wood, other companies and celebrities are also following suit, including Tammin Sursok and Tiffiny Hall.

Eve is studying fashion and business at the Parsons School of Design and New York University, but she currently lists her location on Instagram as Noosa.
