Bengal government to provide ₹1.8 lakh aid for fully damaged houses in flood-hit Malda

Speaking at a flood-relief distribution programme at Raghunathpur, CM Adhikari also said that IIT-Kanpur has been tasked with preparing a detailed project report (DPR) for a permanent flood solution in MaldaWest Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Thursday (October 8, 2026) said his government will provide ₹1.8 lakh aid for fully damaged homes and ₹90,000 for partially affected houses in flood-hit Malda district.
