Adwoa Safo finally accepts Akofena as leader of Kristo Asafo Church
Former MP Sarah Adwoa Safo has now accepted her brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo (Akofena), as the leader of the Kantanka Family and the Kristo Asafo Church, calling for reconciliation within the family.
In a statement, she said she was choosing peace and unity in honour of their late father, Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo.
“I have immense love and respect for my brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, and in the spirit of honouring our father’s wishes, I publicly acknowledge and accept him as the Leader of the Kantanka Family and the Kristo Asafo Church,” she said.
“He has my full support, and I state unequivocally, that I am prepared and willing to work together with him in the interest of the family and the Church, in furtherance of our father’s Vision and Legacy.”
Sarah Adwoa Safo said the family must move beyond past disagreements and focus on preserving their father’s work.
“The time has come for us, as a family, to transcend whatever differences, misunderstandings or grievances that may have characterised the immediate aftermath of the demise of our dear dad and consign them to history,” she said.
