Woman killed in single-vehicle crash in Hollis

HOLLIS, Maine (WMTW) – A woman was killed Tuesday afternoon when an SUV rolled over and struck a tree in Hollis, according to the town’s fire chief.

According to the chief, crews were dispatched to the area of 270 Bar Mills Road around 3:01 p.m.

First responders found a single SUV that had rolled over into a tree. The woman, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the fire chief.

Maine State Police investigated the crash. Bar Mills Road was closed while investigators were working at the scene, and the road was reopened around 5 p.m.
