He revealed that his brother occasionally struggles with his mental health, which has led to a string of scandals threatening to derail his budding career.
Snqamu (40) from Hluhluwe, KZN, shot to fame in August when his debut EP Halala stole hearts across the country.
But now fans fear his rising star is falling fast as back-to-back controversies tarnish his image.
The musician has left fans disappointed at several major events.
During Umkhosi Womhlanga, he refused to take pictures with maidens who admired him, though he later apologised.
A few weeks ago, a toy gun fell from his handbag during his performance at the Isibaya Ingoma Festival in Empangeni, KZN, leaving the crowd shocked and questioning why he was carrying it.
At Ukhozi FM’s Indishi event, Snqamu got a chance to perform his song, but abandoned the performance.
When a content creator followed him to ask why, Snqamu was caught on video hurling insults.
Now, another trending video shows him klapping a female fan who wanted to take a picture with him at one of the events.

His behaviour has raised serious concerns, with fans calling on his family and management to intervene urgently before they disown him completely.
His brother Thobani confirmed that Snqamu struggles with mental health issues and has been battling them for a long time.
“Many times, he is okay, but sometimes he is occasionally mentally disturbed. I will not say he’s completely mentally disturbed – it’s just occasional. All that he does is because of that,” Thobani said.
“I ask everyone to be patient with him. I know it’s difficult to be patient when someone is insulting you, but please understand his situation. He’s still unable to understand his level as a musician.”
Thobani apologised to the content creator Snqamu insulted on Saturday, and asked journalists and content creators to direct interview requests to Snqamu’s manager, Professor 3 Second.
“We are apologising to his fans who have faced difficulties trying to take pictures with him. It’s because of his situation.
The family’s plea has sparked mixed reactions, with some fans offering support while others question whether mental health challenges excuse disrespectful behaviour.
