L&T gets initial nod to build main part of 1,600 MW thermal power plant in Jharkhand

The project is being developed by a joint venture of Damodar Valley Corporation and Coal India.Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Wednesday (October 7, 2026) said it has received an initial nod to build the main part of a 1,600 MW thermal power plant at Chandrapura in Jharkhand.
