I’ve not been sidelined by my colleagues—Bamba explains absence during visit to Bawumia

National First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kojo Bamba, has dispelled reports that his colleague national executives have sidelined him.

After photos of the New Patriotic Party’s leaders’ visit to the flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia surfaced on the internet without him, there were several theories been propounded by political watchers.

While some said he was not invited, some said they intentionally did not inform him of the meeting with the flagbearer.

But speaking in a video shared via social media, Kojo Bamba indicated that he was informed of the meeting with the party’s flagbearer.

He says he sought permission to excuse himself from the meeting, as he had an emergency to attend to.

“People are saying I was not invited to the meeting with the flagbearer, but that is not true. I was told, but I sought permission from my colleagues to be absent because I had something pressing to attend to,” he said in a video shared via his social media.

On claims that the party negotiated with him to give his position to Nana Akomeah, he described that as false, indicating that he was never approached by anyone to relinquish his position.
