It Is With Much Regret That I Announce My Decision To Resign From The Party —NDC Youth Organizer

Freddy Mawuli, a Branch Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ablekuma North, has resigned from the party, prompting questions among local party supporters.

Mawuli announced his decision through a short Facebook post, stating that he was leaving the NDC with immediate effect. He expressed regret over the decision but did not explain what had prompted his resignation.

His exit has drawn attention because it came shortly after he reportedly relinquished his position as Branch Youth Organiser. Although the timing has raised speculation, there is currently no evidence confirming that the two events were connected.

Mawuli was part of the party’s grassroots structure, where youth organisers are responsible for mobilising supporters, coordinating branch activities and strengthening engagement among young members.

His departure has consequently generated discussion about the party’s grassroots organisation in the constituency.

Some supporters have expressed disappointment over the resignation, while others are seeking clarity on the circumstances surrounding his decision.

Although political figures sometimes resign because of disagreements with party leadership, internal disputes, strategic differences or personal reasons, no specific explanation has been given in Mawuli’s case.

There is also uncertainty about his future political plans. He has not stated whether he intends to join another party, continue his political activities independently or withdraw from partisan politics.

The NDC will now have to address the vacancy created by his departure and maintain its youth mobilisation efforts at the branch level.

For now, the reasons behind Mawuli’s resignation remain undisclosed, pending further clarification from him or the party.
