Congress presses governor for Caste Census, accuses BJP of evasion

Haryana governor Ashim Kumar GhoshChandigarh: The Congress has submitted a memorandum to the President of India through the Haryana governor, demanding a comprehensive caste census. The party alleged that the ongoing census exercise lacked a clear mechanism to record caste identities. A delegation led by leader of the opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda met the governor on Wednesday and handed over the memorandum.
