Bandits: They Tied My Son; When My Wife Said My Son Doesn’t Understand Hausa, They Slapped Her- Paul Ani
Paul Ani, a relative of one of the victims abducted during a bandit attack in Babban Saura, Kaduna State, has described how the attackers broke into his home and took members of his family.
Speaking during an interview on News Central TV, Ani said the incident happened after residents called for help but did not receive the support they needed. He explained that he remained inside his room while his daughter and other children stayed in separate rooms.
According to him, his son later ran into his room as the attackers broke into the house. The bandits allegedly beat Ani before tearing a wrapper and using it to tie his son.
Ani said the attackers then went to the childrenās room and abducted his grandson. He added that the bandits spoke Hausa to his son, but his wife intervened and explained that their son could not understand the language.
He said the attackers responded by slapping his wife before leaving the house through a wall they had broken.
Nine residents were reportedly abducted during the attack, while sources said the kidnappers were demanding ā¦50 million each for two of the captives.
In his words, “They now tore a wrapper and tied my son, then went to the children’s room and picked my grandson. They started speaking Hausa to my son; my wife then intervened, saying my son doesn’t understand Hausa. They started slapping my wife.”
