A 30 Year Old SA Woman Died After Allegedly Been Stabbed By Her Teen Foreign Boyfriend, See Why

A 30-year-old woman from Mohlakeng, near Randfontein in Gauteng, has died after allegedly being stabbed by her boyfriend in an attack that left her with serious injuries.

Lerato Itumeleng was allegedly attacked on 1 August 2026, when she was reportedly stabbed during an incident involving her boyfriend. She sustained severe injuries and was subsequently left battling complications linked to the attack.

According to her family, Itumeleng later succumbed to her injuries, turning what had already been a traumatic incident into a devastating loss for her loved ones.

The man accused of attacking her was arrested in connection with the case. However, he has since been released on bail as the legal process continues. The allegations against him have not been proven, and the circumstances surrounding Itumeleng’s death will ultimately be determined through the courts.

The tragedy has been made even more painful for the family because Itumeleng marked her 30th birthday on 30 September, nearly two months after the alleged stabbing. Her family is now mourning a woman whose life was cut short at a young age.

She leaves behind a three-year-old son, her grandmother and two brothers, who are struggling to come to terms with her death.

Her relatives are calling for justice and have urged law enforcement authorities and the justice system to ensure that the case is thoroughly investigated and properly prosecuted. They have also appealed to anyone with information that could assist the family in their pursuit of justice to come forward.

Itumeleng’s death has once again drawn attention to concerns over violence against women in South Africa, particularly cases involving intimate partners. For her family, however, the immediate priority remains securing justice and ensuring that her death is not forgotten.

As the legal proceedings continue, the accused remains entitled to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in court.
