A 30 Year Old SA Woman Died After Allegedly Been Stabbed By Her Teen Foreign Boyfriend, See Why

A 30-year-old woman from Mohlakeng, near Randfontein in Gauteng, has died after allegedly being stabbed by her boyfriend in August, according to statements from her family.

Lerato Itumeleng was reportedly attacked on 1 August 2026. She suffered serious injuries during the alleged incident and later died from complications linked to the injuries.

Her boyfriend was arrested following the incident and faced a case in connection with the alleged attack. He has since been granted bail as the legal proceedings continue.

In a heartbreaking turn of events, Itumeleng celebrated her 30th birthday on 30 September, nearly two months after she was allegedly attacked. Her death has left behind a three-year-old son, as well as her grandmother and two brothers, who are now mourning her loss.

The family is calling for justice and wants the authorities to ensure that the case is fully investigated and properly handled through the courts. They have also appealed to anyone with information that could assist the family or the investigation to come forward.

The circumstances surrounding Itumeleng’s death will ultimately be determined through the legal process. The allegations against her boyfriend have not been proven in court, and he remains entitled to due process.

For her family, however, the loss has been devastating. They continue to mourn a woman whose life was cut short and hope that the case receives the necessary attention as it moves through the justice system.

Itumeleng’s death has also renewed concerns about violence against women in South Africa, particularly cases involving alleged attacks by people known or close to the victims.

As her loved ones seek answers and justice, the family remains focused on ensuring that her death is not forgotten and that the circumstances surrounding what happened to her are fully addressed.
