World Teachers’ Day observed in Shangla with dignity
Shangla – SHANGLA: World Teachers’ Day was observed with great enthusiasm, respect and dignity across District Shangla. In this connection, dignified and impressive ceremonies were organized in various government educational institutions throughout the district. The events were attended by District Education Officer Shangla Muhammad Aurangzeb besides officers of district administration, education experts, teachers and students.
Speakers on the occasion paid rich tributes to invaluable, great and unforgettable educational and training services of teachers and highlighted their pivotal role in nation building, character building of new generation and bright future of the country. On this occasion, teachers showing outstanding performance, hard work and dedication were also awarded commendation certificates, shields and honorary awards. The central and main ceremony of World Teachers’ Day in District Shangla was held at Government Centennial Model High School (GCMHS) Alpurai.

The prestigious event was graced by Deputy Commissioner Shangla Muhammad Abdullah Shah as chief guest, while District Police Officer Shangla Akram Ullah, District Education Officer Shangla Muhammad Aurangzeb, education experts, Assistant Commissioner Alpurai Abdul Qayyum, besides a large number of teachers, principals, headmasters and officers of different departments participated.
Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Shangla Muhammad Abdullah Shah and District Police Officer Shangla Akram Ullah said that teachers are the real architects of the nation. They said that teachers not only equip new generation with ornament of education, but also play a fundamental, basic and key role in their character building, training, moral development and personality grooming.

They said that role of teacher is not limited to classroom only, but teacher shapes the future of entire nation. They said that without hard work, sincerity and dedication of teachers, dream of progress and prosperity of society cannot be realized.
They appreciated the services of teachers of Shangla, especially those performing duties in remote and mountainous areas despite limited resources and difficult conditions.
At the end of the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Abdullah Shah distributed awards and commendation certificates among teachers from his side and congratulated them on World Teachers’ Day.

Similarly, in connection with World Teachers’ Day, Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Abdul Qayyum Alpurai participated as chief guest in ceremonies held at Government Primary School Pagorai, Government Higher Secondary School Lilowani and Government Girls Higher Secondary School Lilowani.
On the occasion, while appreciating services of teachers, the Assistant Commissioner said that teachers are our pride and their services are unforgettable. Commendation certificates and shields were distributed among teachers for their excellent educational services and dedication.
