What is Jalen Hurts’ Career Record Against the Jacksonville Jaguars?
After two straight ugly losses, the Philadelphia Eagles will look to right the ship against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5 in London, England.
For star quarterback Jalen Hurts, it will be just the third matchup against the Jaguars of his career. Let’s take a look at how he fared in the two previous meetings.
Hurts has come out victorious in both of his previous meetings with the Jaguars and their starting QB, Trevor Lawrence. His first game against Jacksonville came back in October of 2022.
In that game, Hurts threw for 204 yards and added another 38 yards on the ground. He had an interception and a rushing touchdown in the contest, which the Eagles won, 29-21. Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw for 174 yards, two TDs and an interception in the loss.
Hurts’ second game against Jacksonville came in November of the 2024 season. The star signal-caller tallied 230 passing yards, 67 rushing yards and three total TDs in Philadelphia’s 28-23 victory. Meanwhile, Lawrence threw for 169 yards and two interceptions.
That game provided NFL fans with one of the most memorable highlights of all-time when Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley executed a backwards hurdle over Jaguars cornerback Jarrian Jones.

Barkley is dealing with a hamstring injury, so he likely won’t be able to play against Jacksonville in Week 5. So unfortunately he probably won’t get an opportunity to recreate that iconic play.
The Eagles and Jaguars have a history that dates back nearly 30 years. The first game between the two teams was played in October of 1997, and Jacksonville won, 38-21. In fact, the Jaguars won the first three meetings between the teams, as they also came out victorious in 2002 and 2006. Since then though, it’s been all Eagles.
The Eagles have won five straight games over Jacksonville, including the last two which Hurts started in. Overall, Philadelphia holds a 5-3 all-time record against the Jaguars heading into Week 5, when they’ll be looking to push that record to 6-3.
