Terror attacks target FBR officials, traffic police in DI Khan
Five people, including two Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) officials and a traffic police officer, were killed in two separate terrorist shooting incidents in Dera Ismail Khan, police said on Tuesday.
In the first incident, terrorists opened fire near Qureshi Mor Abhaya Bridge, killing four people, including two FBR officials and two civilians, according to police.
The attackers fled the scene after the shooting, while a heavy police contingent reached the area and cordoned it off.
Police collected evidence from the crime scene and launched an investigation. A search operation was also initiated to trace and apprehend the attackers.
In a separate incident near the DI Khan bypass, terrorists opened fire on traffic police personnel, police said.
One traffic police officer was killed in the attack, while another sustained injuries.
Police launched a search operation in the area following the attack.
