Teja Sajja Says ‘The Traitors Telugu’ Is as Unpredictable for Him as It Is for Contestants

Actor Teja Sajja, who primarily works in Telugu cinema, has opened up about his experience hosting the upcoming reality show ‘The Traitors Telugu’, saying the game is as unpredictable for him as it is for the contestants.

The makers unveiled the trailer for the streaming reality series on Tuesday, introducing Teja as its host. The Telugu adaptation brings together 20 contestants from different fields, including Chinmayee Sripada, Harsha Vardhan, Pragathi Mahavadi, Shreedevi Chowdary, Nikhil Vijayendra Simha, Vidyu Raman, Vishnu Oi, Shravya Varma, Dr Meghanath Reddy, Mouneesha Chowdary, Sweekar Agasthi, Ashika Padukone, Varsha D’Souza, Pranav aka Abhinavakavi, SS Vardhan, Rahat Achanta, Gaurav Sunil, Sai Ronak, Puppala Dhanunjaya and Phalguni Bangera.

Speaking about the show, Teja said hosting the Telugu edition had been a completely new experience for him and that he was excited to take on a format different from his previous work.

He described the show’s Telugu adaptation as a significant moment for the regional entertainment industry, saying the format would carry its own local identity and flavour while retaining the appeal that has made it popular internationally.

Teja also highlighted the unpredictable nature of the game, saying that even the host can be caught off guard as contestants form alliances, question each other’s intentions and change their strategies.

“You can walk into a room thinking you know exactly who you can trust and, a few minutes later, everything flips,” he said.

According to Teja, the lies, mind games, unexpected alliances and constant second-guessing are what make ‘The Traitors Telugu’ engaging. He added that he had enjoyed being part of the show and was looking forward to audiences becoming invested in the contestants as the game unfolds.

‘The Traitors Telugu’ will stream on Prime Video.
