A 17-year-old teenager has died after he fell five storeys from a building in inner-city Sydney.

Emergency crews were called to Elizabeth St in Surry Hills about 9pm on Tuesday night after reports that a person had fallen to the street.

However, he was suffering critical injuries and died before he could be transported to hospital.

NSW Police told Daily Mail they are investigating.

The death has not at this point been deemed suspicious.

It’s understood detectives will investigate whether the teenager had been exploring an old building when he accidentally fell.

Anyone with information or CCTV is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
