Teen killed after SUV crashes into pond

WAYNE COUNTY, Mo. (Heartland News) – A 17-year-old Williamsville girl was killed in a crash in Wayne County, Missouri, on Monday night, October 5.

The crash happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. on County Road 424, approximately 3 miles south of Williamsville.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the teen was driving west when her SUV went off the road and flipped into a pond.

Troopers said the teen died at the scene.

MSHP reports this is the 46th crash-related death in Troop E for 2026.
