Nine batches of popular heart medicine recalled after adulteration found
A popular medicine used by heart patients has been found to be substandard, with nine specific batches of Lowplat Plus declared unfit by the drug control wing.
According to the Drug Testing Laboratory, the drug control wing has ordered the recall of the affected batches of Lowplat Plus after adulteration was found in the medicine.
Pharmacies, medical stores and hospitals have been directed to immediately stop supplying the affected batches.
The citizens have also been advised to stop using the affected batches of Lowplat Plus immediately, as their use may pose a health risk.
The affected batches include tablets with expiry dates in January and February 2028.
