Petrol rises to Rs394.83 per litre; diesel falls to Rs395.85
The federal government has increased the price of petrol by Rs1.19 per litre, while reducing the price of high-speed diesel by Rs1.91 per litre.
Petrol will now cost Rs394.83 per litre, up from Rs393.64, while high-speed diesel will cost Rs395.85 per litre, down from Rs397.76. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has issued a notification on the revised prices, which will take effect from 7 October.
The Petroleum Division said the prices are linked to rates for petrol and diesel in the international market. The latest changes were made in line with movements in global prices, Platts rates, premiums and other related costs.
The government’s decision leaves petrol prices higher while diesel prices have been reduced, reflecting changes in international market rates and associated costs.
