Petrol price rises by Rs1.19, diesel falls Rs1.91 per litre
ISLAMABAD : Petrol and diesel prices have been revised once again, with petrol becoming more expensive while the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced.
The latest adjustment takes effect from October 7, 2026, following a review by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
Under the revised schedule, the price of motor spirit (petrol) has increased by Rs1.19 per litre, rising from Rs393.64 to Rs394.83 per litre.
High-speed diesel (HSD), meanwhile, has become Rs1.91 per litre cheaper. Its price has fallen from Rs397.76 to Rs395.85 per litre.
The Petroleum Division said OGRA revised the ex-depot prices in accordance with the petroleum pricing mechanism issued by the federal government. The latest adjustment has been attributed to developments in international markets, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and incidentals.
