Moment cocaine-fuelled teen celebrates after knocking man unconscious

This is the moment a cocaine-fuelled teen celebrated knocking a man unconscious in a vicious unprovoked attack.

Jayden Swift punched the innocent man after he came to the aid of another poor victim who the 19-year-old had ‘punched 20 times’ and left unconscious just moments earlier.

CCTV footage captured Swift’s drug and alcohol-induced brawl during a night out in Barnsley town centre, South Yorkshire, in January this year.

Footage shows the men exchanging punches on the pavement before the fight moves onto the main road of Peel Street.

Swift then catches the innocent man with a brutal punch to the back of his head and he collapses to the floor.

The thug then unleashes a savage kick to the man’s head while he is on the ground, knocking him unconscious.

He then kicks the man’s head again before – with a bloody nose – celebrating over his victim’s limp body by putting his arms in the air.

Swift continues to taunt him by standing over him and pointing.

Before attempting to leave the scene, Swift gives one more vicious kick to the man’s head.

But he is then arrested by a marked male police officer after onlookers called the emergency services.

Sheffield Crown Court heard the incident erupted after Swift had a brief conversation with the first victim before launching into what the judge, Recorder Jeremy Hill-Baker, described as an ‘unprovoked, senseless and serious’ attack.

During Swift’s first fight he punched, kicked and stamped on his victim.

In relation to the first attack, Recorder Hill-Baker said: ‘That he did not suffer life-changing injuries or lose his life is frankly astonishing.’

Prosecutor Stephanie Hollis told the court during a sentencing hearing on September 30 that the first complainant suffered injuries to his head, and above his eye and temple along with a blackened eye.

The second complainant attended at Barnsley General Hospital and was found to have suffered bruising to his left eye and scalp, along with grazing to the left side of his head.

Both of the two complainants were intoxicated at the time of the attacks, and do not recall most of what happened.

Jailing Swift for four years and one month, Recorder Jeremy Hill-Baker told him: ‘You punched him repeatedly, you knocked him unconscious.

‘You then – as the CCTV shows – kicked him to the head with some force. And again you appear jubilant you returned to kick him in the head again.’

Swift, of Morrison Road, Darfield, Barnsley, pleaded guilty to two counts of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, in relation to the incident on January 11, 2026.

Swift’s barrister Katherine White said the thug also could not recall what happened, due to being intoxicated on a cocktail of cocaine and alcohol.

Recorder Hill-Baker also granted a ten-year restraining order protecting both men and ordered him to pay a £228 victim surcharge.
