Mildred Tuhaise joins NWSC as Public Engagement manager
Mildred Tuhaise, the former NBS TV news anchor, has joined the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) as Manager, Public Engagement and Brand Ambassadorship.
NWSC’s directorate of Public Relations and Communication announced the appointment in a statement. It said it was ‘delighted to announce a new member of the NWSC family’.
‘We warmly welcome Ms Mildred Tuhaise, who joins us as Manager, Public Engagement and Brand Ambassadorship,’ the statement said.
The corporation described Tuhaise as ‘a strategic media and communication professional with extensive experience at both national and institutional levels, bridging journalism, corporate communication, and public sector management’.
It said she has a proven ability to manage public information, media relations, and organisational reputation in high-pressure environments.
The statement also pointed to her skills in handling difficult issues.
“Mildred is skilled in handling sensitive issues, shaping institutional narratives, and advising senior leadership on communication risks and opportunities,” it said.
Tuhaise left Next Media at the end of May after nearly two decades in broadcast journalism. She joined NBS TV from WBS TV in 2015 and was known for presenting news bulletins and the Morning Breeze show.
