Islamabad Traffic Diversions Announced at Kashmir Chowk

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a new traffic diversion plan for motorists as construction work continues at Kashmir Chowk on Club Road.

The diversions will remain in place during the construction period, and commuters have been advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays.

Drivers travelling from the Secretariat and Serena Hotel towards Rawalpindi can use Srinagar Highway and Ninth Avenue if Club Road is closed.

Traffic coming from G-5, the Secretariat and Serena Hotel can also travel through Srinagar Highway, Mera Abadi and Peshawar Road. Another option is to take a U-turn from Lake View and continue through Murree Road and Club Road.

Motorists travelling towards Rawal Dam Chowk, Park Road and Lehtrar Road have been advised to use Srinagar Highway, Seventh Avenue, Shakarparian Road, Tulip Hotel Road and Rawal Dam Road.

Those heading towards Bhara Kahu and Murree can travel through Faizabad, Faisal Avenue, Zero Point, the Srinagar Highway Underpass, Jinnah Square and Kurriyanwala Chowk.

For motorists entering Islamabad from Rawalpindi, Ninth Avenue, Faqir Aipee Road and Srinagar Highway are available as alternative routes.

Traffic coming from Park Road and Lehtrar Road can use Tulip Hotel Road, Garden Avenue and Seventh Avenue.

ITP has asked drivers to follow instructions from traffic police personnel and use the designated alternative routes while the construction work continues.

Commuters can also check ITP FM 92.4 and the department’s official social media channels for updated traffic information.

Motorists travelling through Club Road and Kashmir Chowk should allow extra travel time, particularly during peak traffic hours.
