Gladys Wanga Issues Fresh Statement on Oburu Odinga After Rumours Online, Reveals When They Last Talked
ODM national chairperson Gladys Wanga has moved to dismiss rumours circulating online about the health and wellbeing of party leader Oburu Odinga.
On Tuesday evening, October 6, reports began spreading on social media claiming that Oburu had died, causing concern among his supporters and members of the ODM party.
Wanga, who is also the governor of Homa Bay County, responded to the rumours by confirming that she had spoken to Oburu that same evening.
According to Wanga, Oburu is alive and in good spirits as he continues recovering following a medical trip abroad and a routine checkup at The Nairobi Hospital.
“My PL Dr Oburu is recovering steadily. I was with him this evening and he is in high spirits. We continue to pray for his full recovery,” Wanga stated.
Her remarks sought to reassure ODM supporters and the public that the reports circulating online about Oburu’s death were false. She also urged continued prayers for his full recovery as he recuperates.
