Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla appears in a bathroom video with a closely shaved head

Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla appeared in a bathroom video with her head closely shaved, wearing glasses and wrapped in a blue towel, as she smiled, moved around and made playful gestures towards the camera. The unusual look drew attention online, with viewers amused by what they saw as a strong resemblance between her shaved head and facial features and those of her father, former president Jacob Zuma. Zuma-Sambudla is publicly known as Jacob Zuma’s daughter and has previously attracted significant attention through her social-media presence.

One thing the post leaves open is why she decided to shave her head, since the clip does not show her explaining the change in appearance. The post also does not say when the video was recorded or where it was filmed. Those details matter because they would explain the context of the clip. Without them, the video shows only her appearance and the reaction to it.

People reacting to the post focused on the resemblance between her and her father, with some saying the shaved head made the likeness even stronger and others making jokes about how much she looked like Jacob Zuma. Some praised her for the change in appearance, while others said the comparison was being made in a mocking way. The reaction centred on the family resemblance rather than on confirmed facts about the video.

What remains unresolved is whether Zuma-Sambudla has responded to the reaction or explained why she shaved her head. The clip itself does not establish why she chose the look or what the video was for. The public is waiting to see whether she addresses the comments, because the post alone cannot explain the purpose of the clip.
