THREE people died and four sustained serious injuries in a crash on Barkly Road near Flamingo Primary School in Kimberley during the early hours of Monday morning.
A section of the school fence collapsed during the incident.
Northern Cape SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Molefi Shemane said the Roodepan police were investigating cases of culpable homicide and driving under the influence of alcohol after the fatal motor vehicle accident reportedly occurred in Barkly Road in Homestead on October 5 at 4.30am.
âIt is alleged that a white double-cab bakkie overturned and landed on the premises of a local school. Two adult males and one female between the ages of 25 and 35 were certified deceased at the scene by Emergency Medical Services,â said Shemane.
He added that three men, including the driver, and one woman sustained serious injuries and were transported to hospital for medical attention.
