According to report by Ghbase on Tuesday 6, October 2026, a video circulating on social media has sparked reactions after a galamsey worker reportedly confronted his girlfriend over allegations that she had been cheating on him while he was away working at mining sites.

According to the video, which was shared by Ghbase News, the unidentified man questioned his girlfriend about rumours that she had been involved with other men during his absence.

The man, who appeared visibly concerned about the allegations, reportedly told his girlfriend that he regularly sent her money while working at galamsey sites to support her needs.

He claimed that he sometimes sent as much as GH¢1,000 at a time and was therefore disturbed after hearing claims that she was allegedly cheating on him despite his financial support.

In an attempt to establish whether the allegations were true, the man challenged his girlfriend to take an egg and invoke a curse to prove that she had not been unfaithful.

He made the request in the presence of members of the woman’s family, insisting that he believed she would not be willing to take the step because, according to him, the allegations had created doubts about their relationship.

The woman, however, appeared unhappy with the request and questioned why her boyfriend would believe what other people were saying about her.

She reportedly maintained that she had not cheated on him and argued that there was no reason for her to use an egg to prove her innocence.

The woman also urged her boyfriend not to allow rumours from other people to create mistrust between them.

The identities of the couple have not been publicly disclosed, and the allegations contained in the circulating video have not been independently verified.
