Calls Grow for EOCO Boss Raymond Archer to Clarify Appointment and Qualifications

Pressure is reportedly mounting on the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), Raymond Archer, to provide official documentation confirming his appointment to the position.

A source familiar with the matter has challenged Mr. Archer to make his appointment letter from the Public Services Commission (PSC) public, arguing that doing so would help address questions surrounding his qualifications and eligibility for the role.

The source further alleged that Mr. Archer may not have satisfied the academic and professional requirements expected of an EOCO Executive Director. According to the claims, he does not hold a first degree or a master’s degree, qualifications the source believes are important for occupying such a senior position within Ghana’s public service.

Additional allegations have also been raised concerning Mr. Archer’s previous workplace.
