BBN: 30% Of The Things I Did In The House Was a Game. 70% Was Actually Me Being Genuine” Temi Nkem
According to a video posted on Africa Magic on Monday October 5, 2026, BBNaija Season 11 winner Temi Nkem has addressed one of the most talked-about questions surrounding her winning run on the show, confirming that while she did play a strategic game inside the Big Brother house, the larger portion of her behaviour was authentic and not manufactured for the cameras.
In an exclusive post-finale interview with host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu for Africa Magic, Temi was asked directly how much of what viewers witnessed on screen was the real her and how much was calculated gameplay.
Her candid response drew a clear line between performance and personality, settling a debate that had followed her throughout the season.
In her words, Temi said, “I thought I could learn in the house a few things. So as I’m going along, I’m asking my questions — people were probably looking at me like I was a curious cat in the house.
“As that was going on, I was thinking, you know what, let me ask more questions because I don’t really understand some of these things.
“So then as I’m asking questions, people then wanted to pamper me. Why would I not want to be pampered willingly? I would say maybe 30% was a game. 70% was actually me genuinely being curious,” she said.
Temi also admitted, with a laugh, that even her repeated confusion about how to make custard was largely genuine, though she acknowledged becoming aware at some point that it was working in her favour with housemates.
She maintained that the friendships she built, particularly with Blue, Sheba, Goddessa, and Araga, were real and not part of any scripted plan to advance in the competition.
