ANF seizes 3,825kg of drugs in Balochistan operation
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized 3,825 kilograms of drugs during an intelligence-based operation in Kech district of Balochistan, an ANF spokesperson said on Tuesday.
According to the spokesperson, the operation was conducted at a suspected hideout in the Josak area of Kech following intelligence reports about a drug-trafficking network.
The seized contraband included 2,454kg of hashish, 1,363kg of methamphetamine (ice) and 8kg of heroin, with the total haul estimated to be worth more than Rs560 million.
The ANF said the drugs had been smuggled into Pakistan from Afghanistan and were temporarily stored at a compound before being transported abroad through the sea route.

According to the force, the drugs were to be moved overseas after receiving a signal from the trafficking network.
Following the seizure, the ANF has launched efforts to identify and arrest members of the suspected international drug-trafficking network and their facilitators.
The spokesperson said operations to arrest those involved were underway.
The ANF said it had foiled several attempts in the past to smuggle large quantities of drugs from Afghanistan into Pakistan and subsequently transport them to other countries.
The latest operation is part of the ANF’s ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking and dismantle international smuggling networks.
