Amber Mark’s Schedule Is Packed—But Her Skincare Routine Isn’t
If your summer sounded anything like sultry R&B tunes during late-night drives or dance-ready pop songs on a vibey rooftop at sunset, chances are Amber Mark was a key part of that soundtrack. The singer, songwriter, and producer has a reputation for blending soulful melodies with retro cadences and sultry lyrics—with an addictive nostalgic undertone.
As mellow as Mark's music is, the Grammy-nominated musician has had quite an intense past year. She spent the better part of 2025 opening for Sabrina Carpenter on the Short n' Sweet Tour before kicking off a tour of her own in early 2026 for her latest album, Pretty Idea. After some much-needed vocal rest, the singer kicked off the summer performing at festivals including Lollapalooza and lending her voice to the Coca-Cola FIFA World Cup anthem, "Jump."
With a busy schedule filled with recording sessions and performances, you'd think Mark may occasionally forgo her evening skincare routine due to fatigue (it happens to the best of us)—but the 32-year-old is almost religious about her regimen. "I never skip taking off my makeup and washing my face every night," Mark tells Byrdie.
So, it only makes sense that Mark would partner with Allies of Skin, a brand that takes skincare just as seriously as she does. As someone who considers herself equally dedicated to a clean face, I leaned in as the artist shared her entire skincare routine. Ahead, Mark delves into what keeps her acne at bay, her most-used product, and her favorite treatment.
"I deal with acne on my cheeks and on my jawline a lot, especially this year. I'm not sure what caused it. I also have really bad hyperpigmentation. I make an effort not to pick at my pimples, even though I want to. I'm definitely one of those types of pimple-popping girlies. But I still get scarring and hyperpigmentation. So that's something I definitely try to tackle."
"I've dealt with acne since I was a teenager, so that really got me into skincare. Because I just wanted to have glowy skin and not struggle with hyperpigmentation. I would say those issues are what made me want to learn more about my skin and understand it."
In the morning, I keep it simple with a cleanser, hydrating serum, and moisturizer. I wash my face with Biologique Recherche Lait VIP O2 Active Cleansing Milk, use the Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 toner, then apply the Biologique Recherche Crème Dermopurifiante. I end my routine by glazing my lips with the Allies of Skin Peptint Tripeptide & Goji Cells Plumping Lip Treatment in Fearless.
"My evening routine includes the same cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. I also use a cleansing balm before my regular cleanser—and if I wear a lot of makeup, I wash my face twice. I use my more cell-regenerating serums like vitamin C and azelaic acid at night to exfoliate and fight acne."
"I make more of an effort now—especially this year. I really feel like my skin fluctuates with acne. Some years it's bad; some years it's good. At the start of this year, it was pretty bad, and luckily using Allies of Skin has really helped me with my hyperpigmentation and kept my skin glowing. My skin is talking to me through how it's reacting to my everyday life. That makes me want to put more effort into it."
"Take your makeup off. Wash your face every night. I think when you're sleeping is when your skin is doing the most work."
"Probably picking at your skin, which is something I do. I have the urge to squeeze my pimples, but it's a pet peeve, and I need to do better in 2026."
"The Allies of Skin Peptint. I use that every day, whether I'm wearing makeup or not."
"The product that's been in my routine for the longest probably is the Biologique Recherche P50 Lotion toner. I use it all the time. It really helps clear my skin."
"It's the Biologique Recherche P50 Lotion for the body, actually. I love it. I deal with hyperpigmentation, and I have lots of scars from childhood, so that's been really helping to counteract that for me."
"Recently I got one of those lymphatic facials that really focuses on inflammation. I think it was a buccal massage. They massaged inside my mouth and jaw. I loved that, and I want to get it again."
