Why I have no scandals, Fireboy DML reveals

Afrobeats singer Adedamola Adefolayan, popularly known as Fireboy DML, has opened up about how he has maintained a scandal-free career in an industry often rife with controversy.

In a recent interaction with fans, the ‘Peru’ crooner discussed his personality, public image, and approach to his music career, explaining why he rarely makes headlines for the wrong reasons.

According to Fireboy, keeping his personal life out of the public eye has helped him avoid misunderstandings and unnecessary drama.

He noted that because people know little about his private life, it is difficult for them to form opinions about him outside his music.

Fireboy added that he has consciously stayed away from scandals and does not involve himself in relationships or interactions with other artistes that could spark controversy.

He further revealed that his focus remains on his artistry, stressing that he prefers to let his songs speak for him rather than using gimmicks or publicity stunts to promote his music.

“They don’t know me enough to misunderstand me. I don’t give them enough personality or insight into my personal life. I don’t have scandals, I don’t relate with other artistes, I don’t sell my music with gimmicks,” he said.
