We Won’t Touch His Wealth” Chivayo’s Family Reveals Who Will Get His Multi-Billion Fortune

The family of late Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo has disclosed that he had already decided how he wanted his wealth to be handled after his death, with his children expected to receive the largest portion of his estate.

Chivayo died on September 30 when the helicopter carrying him crashed near Marondera, Zimbabwe. His wife, Lucy Muteke, and other passengers were also killed in the crash.

During a gathering at his Harare residence on October 2, Chivayo’s uncle and family spokesperson, Herbert Chivayo, told mourners that the businessman had repeatedly spoken about his wishes for his children.

Herbert said Chivayo wanted most of his wealth to go to his children so they could benefit from his success and remember him as they grew older.

The family spokesperson also dismissed concerns that relatives could fight over the estate. He stressed that members of the Chivayo family would not attempt to claim the late businessman’s wealth.

According to Herbert, Chivayo’s children are the rightful heirs and will receive his estate.

The disclosure provides an early indication of how Chivayo’s vast fortune could be managed following his death. The businessman was known for his major business interests and extravagant lifestyle, making the future of his estate a matter of significant interest.

Funeral arrangements for Chivayo and his wife were still being finalised.
