“So Will Nana B and Nana Akomea Organize A New Swearing In?” – Amoakohene Asks
Dr Frank Amoakohene, Ashanti Regional Minister, has asked whether Nana B and Nana Akomea will organize a new swearing-in. He posted the question on his official Facebook page on October 5, 2026.
The question follows the swearing-in of the first vice chair, Kojo Bamba, without the second vice chair, Nana B, and the third vice chair, Nana Akomea. The two were left out of the ceremony, and Dr Amoakohene’s post draws attention to that.
In the post, he wrote: “So will Nana B and Nana Akomea organize for a new swearing in? Or we can replace them with Awal and Kumi.” By naming Awal and Kumi, he suggests the two vacant positions could be filled by different people.
The post puts the status of the second and third vice chair positions under public scrutiny. With only the first vice chair sworn in, the leadership is not fully constituted. Nana B and Nana Akomea hold positions that have not been formally taken up.
The post may also prompt a response from the individuals named. They may be asked to say whether they intend to hold their own swearing-in or step aside for others. Supporters of each side are likely to use the post to argue their positions.
Dr Amoakohene’s question shifts the discussion from the one ceremony that took place to the two that did not. Until the second and third vice chairs are sworn in, or replaced, the question of who occupies those offices will remain in the public conversation.
