Shooting in northeast Wichita leaves man in critical condition

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – One man is in critical condition following a shooting in northeast Wichita.

Wichita police say that at around 3:50 p.m. on Sunday, officers were called to a report of shots fired near the intersection of Vassar and Fairmount.

While officers investigated, a shooting victim arrived at Wesley Woodlawn. He was later taken to a different hospital. He remains in critical condition as of Sunday evening.

Police say the incident is still under investigation.
