Police: 2 people dead after shooting at South Carolina apartment complex

Two men were killed in a shooting Sunday at a South Carolina apartment complex.

Spartanburg E911 received a report of multiple gunshots in the parking lot of the Comet Apartments apartment complex at 127 Garner Road around 7:45 p.m. Officers and investigators were sent to the scene.

When officers arrived, they found two men in the parking lot with apparent gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers provided first aid to the second man before an ambulance took him to a local hospital, where he later died.

The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office will release the victims’ identities.

Police said investigators are still working to determine what led to the shooting. No additional details were immediately available.

Authorities said there is no known threat to the public connected to the incident.
