Sixth District officers responded around 7:07 p.m. Oct. 3 to the 100 block of 45th Street NE off Benning Road for a report of an unconscious person, the Metropolitan Police Department said.
Officers found the man, who was not breathing. Lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The department’s Homicide Unit is investigating. Police said they were preparing a news release with additional information.
