A man died after emergency services were called to Bournemouth beach, police have said.

Dorset Police said officers, South Western Ambulance Service paramedics and coastguard rescue teams were called to Durley Chine Beach at about 16:15 BST on Sunday.

The man was pronounced dead shortly afterwards. His death is not being treated as suspicious.

"Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends at this very difficult time," a force spokesperson said.
