Leopard Spotted Near Tirumala; Creates Panic among Devotees

Hyderabad: A leopard was spotted at Mokalla Mettu near Tirumala creating panic among devotees.

This prompted Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) to issue a caution asking devotees to exercise more vigil. It asked the devotees to trek in groups and those accompanying children must be careful.

The TTD and forest department officials intensified patrolling to trace the leopard. Mokalla Mettu is the final, steepest section of the traditional Alipiri mettu footpath leading to Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala.
