Following detailed discussions, the jirga adopted a joint declaration containing various proposals for restoring lasting peace in the province and combating terrorism.
The declaration has already been sent to the Prime Minister’s Office.

The committee was formed to keep elected representatives informed about key security matters and prepare practical recommendations based on the situation on the ground.
It has now prepared a comprehensive report based on the briefings and information received from the relevant institutions.
The report will be presented to the federal government for consideration as part of counterterrorism measures under the National Action Plan.
Swati informed the prime minister that the Special Security Committee would finalise its report after consultations with the Commander XI Corps.
The report would then be presented to the KP Assembly for approval.
After approval, the comprehensive report would also be shared with all relevant stakeholders to improve coordination and cooperation between state institutions and elected representatives in the fight against terrorism.
