Islamabad IGP fires all contract employees

Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Captain (retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry has shelved all contracts made with the former employees and officers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday, quoting sources.

The sources said former police officers and officials were serving at different posts on contract but these were cancelled.

All people working on contract in IT Department including director and software engineering posts were sent home.

Contracts of law officer, four former superintendents of police and three former DSPs were also shelved.

All in all contracts of 29 former policemen and other employees were cancelled and a notification in this regard was issued.
