Domestic Violence Suspect Arrested Following Investigation in Cathedral City

CATHEDRAL CITY, CA — Officers with the Cathedral City Police Department arrested a male suspect late Saturday evening following an investigation into a domestic violence incident that left a woman hospitalized with severe facial injuries. On Saturday, September 26, 2026, at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers responded to a residential call on Pueblo Trail regarding a report of domestic violence.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult female lying in the driveway of the residence suffering from extensive facial injuries. Personnel from the Cathedral City Fire Department rendered on-scene emergency medical care before transporting the victim to a local hospital for further treatment. The suspect had fled the location prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

An initial search of the surrounding neighborhood yielded negative results. Detectives and investigating officers subsequently identified potential secondary locations associated with the suspect’s contacts. At approximately 9:50 p.m., officers conducted follow-up at one of the identified residences. As officers knocked at the front door, a male subject attempted to evade contact by fleeing into the backyard.

Officers quickly contained the perimeter and took the suspect into custody without further incident.
