Cristiano Ronaldo’s wife Georgina ‘has adopted his three children’

Cristiano Ronaldo’s wife Georgina Rodriguez is said to have ‘adopted his three eldest children’ just a week after they tied the knot.

The newlyweds have taken another step in their relationship, with Ronaldo officially making Georgina the adoptive mother of his children.

Georgina, 32, and Ronaldo, 41, had their first child Alana in 2017. They welcomed Bella Esmeralda, whose twin brother sadly passed away during childbirth in 2022.

According to Portuguese media, Georgina is now the legal guardian of his son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr and twins Eva María and Mateo.

The biological mother of 16-year-old Cristiano Jr remains private and the footballer has full custody. He also has full custody of his nine-year-old twins Eva and Mateo, who were born via surrogate.

The adoption process was allegedly carried out as ‘secret adoptions’ as the couple chose to handle the paperwork in privacy.

Since being with Ronaldo, Georgina has maintained a close bond with his children and has always treated them as her own.

The Daily Mail has approached Georgina and Ronaldo for comment.

Georgina also hinted at becoming Cristiano Jr’s adoptive mother after calling him her ‘son’ in a sweet Instagram post this month.

She wrote: ‘Fairy tale Baptism. It was always my dream to bathe in a waterfall. Junior, a sculptor, and his talent in everything he sets his mind to.

‘Since he was little, this trip has been our special time. Dad, Mom, and him, together at sea, summer after summer.

‘Cris the explorer, Cris and the moon, Seafood tastes even better at sea. This year we’ve discovered many coves.’

The billionaire footballer married Georgina in his living room in Portugal earlier this month – and wore a T-shirt and suit jacket as they exchanged vows.

The couple married on the tenth anniversary of the day they first met while Georgina was working as a shop assistant at the Gucci store in Madrid.

Amid much speculation about the big day, the couple defied most whispers with the pared-back nuptials, with the ceremony going from their house to a nearby church – where Georgina ‘couldn’t hold back her tears’.

She explained to Vogue in the magazine’s Summer digital issue: ‘We’ve chosen to do it in the living room of our house here where we have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and where we live the reality of our lives…

‘In 30 years’ time I want the children to think, something wonderful happened at this table – the wedding vows of our parents.

‘When I was a little girl I dreamt of the biggest castle, the biggest carriage, the longest dress, a crown full of diamonds. And now I’m saying: no. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home.’

However, the beauty did promise in the interview that they would in the future have a ‘big wedding’ to celebrate with their wider family and friends but did not elaborate further on their plans.

Another surprising element of the day was their choice of clothes, however, the couple explained the reason they both wore Gucci was due to them meeting at the Gucci store in Spain all those years ago.

They called the idea a ‘full circle’ moment.

The footballer shared that he and Georgina had tied the knot after ten years together by sharing a snap of their wedding bands on Instagram.
