ATC orders Imran Khan’s production in Judicial Complex case

Court declares 4 ex-ministers proclaimed offenders, issues non-bailable warrants for two other leaders

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has ordered the production of PTI founder Imran Khan at the next hearing of the Judicial Complex attack case, either physically or through video link.

The court also declared four former federal ministers proclaimed offenders and issued non-bailable arrest warrants for two other PTI leaders as proceedings in the case continued.

A hearing of the case against PTI founder Imran Khan and other PTI leaders was held at the Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad. Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra directed authorities to produce Khan before the court at the next hearing, either through physical appearance or video link.

The court adjourned further proceedings in the case until November 5.

During the hearing, the court declared former federal ministers Farrukh Habib, Hammad Azhar, Murad Saeed and Shibli Faraz as proclaimed offenders.

Judge Sipra also sought details of the assets belonging to the accused who have been declared proclaimed offenders.

The Anti-Terrorism Court also issued non-bailable arrest warrants for former Punjab Assembly deputy speaker Wasiq Qayyum and Hassaan Niazi. The warrants were issued as proceedings continued against PTI leaders in connection with the Judicial Complex attack case.

The case against Imran Khan and other PTI leaders regarding the Judicial Complex attack is registered at Ramna Police Station in Islamabad.

The Anti-Terrorism Court will resume proceedings on November 5, when the PTI founder is required to be produced either physically or through video link.
