Wyoming Woman Kept Stealing Packages From Same Three Homes, But Residents Recognized Her Dented SUV

Image Credit: Cheyenne Police Department Facebook A Wyoming woman accused of taking packages from three homes apparently had a fairly recognizable vehicle accompanying her on each trip. Cheyenne Police say surveillance footage repeatedly showed a blonde woman arriving in the same gray Chevrolet Trailblazer, complete with a noticeable dent near its front wheel.

The investigation began September 30 after Officer Bolkovatz responded to a home in the 900 block of East 6th Street for a reported package theft. The resident provided doorbell camera footage showing a woman arriving in the Trailblazer, taking packages from the front door and leaving.

Rather than keeping the footage to themselves, the victim shared the video on social media in hopes someone could identify the woman or vehicle. Police say community members responded with tips that provided Bolkovatz with additional leads.

Investigators then connected the September 30 incident to two similar package thefts at separate Cheyenne residences on September 25 and September 28. In both of those cases, surveillance footage once again showed a blonde woman arriving in a dented gray Trailblazer before packages disappeared from the residences.

With the same vehicle appearing throughout the investigation, Bolkovatz turned to Flock Safety cameras to search for a Chevrolet matching its description. Police say the search produced photographs of a gray Chevrolet and a visible license plate.

Investigators used the plate to identify the vehicle’s registered owner as 37-year-old Erica White. Police did not provide additional details about the community tips or what information they supplied before the camera search.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on September 30, Bolkovatz located White’s vehicle in the parking lot of her workplace. White was sitting inside the Trailblazer and was taken into custody without incident, according to police.

White was transported to the Cheyenne Public Safety Center for questioning following her arrest. Police say she was subsequently booked into the Laramie County Jail on three counts of theft.

The investigation did not end with simply locating the vehicle seen in the surveillance footage. According to Cheyenne Police, the items reported stolen from the residences were found inside White’s vehicle.

Guessing Headlights searched for additional information through the Cheyenne Police Department but was directed to an NCIC portal, where the information available showed White as currently incarcerated at the Laramie County Detention Center. No additional details concerning her three theft charges were available to us through that search.
